Thinking About COLOR....

Going out in the yard today,
I was able to find a few touches of color.

Winter will be coming to a close soon,
and we can look forward to more COLOR in the landscape.
Bulbs are beginning to come up and some are starting to bloom!

I found a few other little favorites showing color as well.

Clawdia the cat is enjoying her yard during a break in the rain.

One of the benefits of being an artist is having
COLOR available all year.
So even though we are still having gray winter days
it seems a perfect time to think about color
and get out the art supplies!

I pulled this painting out to revisit.

The liquid acrylic underpainting was done plein air at
Deepwood Gardens on a summer day when the gardens were lush
and the zinnias were in full bloom!

Taking this time to "think about color" has been an inspiration
that I want to keep exploring!
